A draft permit for use of ProcellaCOR herbicide to control the milfoil infestation in Lake Iroquois has been posted to the VT Department of Environmental Conservation's Environmental Notice Bulletin and is now available for public comment. It is listed as Aquatic Nuisance Control - Public Pesticide Application Number 3038 and its status can be tracked at Environmental Notice Bulletin: https://enb.vermont.gov/?id=7714.
It is very important that all who care about Lake Iroquois and are concerned about the infestation of this non-native invasive species participate in this comment period. An important reminder is that ALL comments must be received by June 1, 2020.
As of this writing a public meeting has not been scheduled due to the COVID-19 crisis and the restrictions on in-person meetings. However, the DEC is looking into a possible way to hold a virtual public meeting. We’ll post information about this as they let us know.
